Universal Law of Attraction

By Reginald Delaney

Introduction

There is a universal law that requires that we take active participation in creating the events that define who we are and who we become. Positive thinking and correct thinking will accomplish nothing if those activities are not complimented by tangible action that we impart on the physical world. When we take action, we take our commitment on our thoughts to a whole new level. We are basically demonstrating that not only do I think my thoughts justify me to take action, it demonstrates that we are willing to take that action! By taking action, we automatically invoke one of the universal laws. We invoke the law of attraction!

It Is Inevitable!

Whether you know it or not every single thing that you do has consequences. Everything that you do has a bearing on your future circumstances. Take a look at your current situation and ask yourself, “How did I arrive here?” This is not the time to start pointing fingers away from you. Instead, this is an opportunity for you to take an account of all the things that you did to put you in your current situation. Whether you feel good about where you are or not, you had an active role to play. Precious little minutes that we spend doing things that don’t help us to achieve the futures that we desire begin to add up over the years. We can look back and reflect on huge chunks of time that could have been better spent. Now is not the time to spiral downward into a deep pit of remorse over the lost time and lost opportunities. Now is the time to realize that we have not been mere victims of circumstance!

Yes, our actions have consequences! Look at the people that are closest to you. Honestly, how would you describe these individuals? Are they overall positive individuals? Are they overall negative individuals? Do they seem to be in control of their lives? Are they constantly complaining about things that others do to them? Do they rise to the occasion when challenges present themselves? Do they go into a deep state of depression helplessly waiting for someone to bail them out? Are they individuals that believe that they are responsible for making things happen? Are they individuals that feel that others and outside influences have the biggest impact on their lives? Think about your conversations with the people that are closest to you. Would you categorize these conversations as ones that are going to help you get where you want to be? Think about the overall tone of the conversations that you are having. Realize that you have been instrumental in creating the environment for these conversations. You have used the universal law of attraction to attract these conversations and the people that are having these conversations with you to you. The more you have these conversations, the more of these conversations you will have. The more of these conversations you have, the more people you will attract that have similar conversations. If you don’t like where these conversations are taking you, you must change your conversations.

It is inevitable that our actions will result in an outcome. Whether that outcome is desirable or not depends on what we desire and the action that we take. If we are seeking positive people, but our speech and actions are negative, we will repel the positive people. We should not ask why aren’t there any good people in the world, we should ask why aren’t there any good people in my world? When we make a conscious decision to look inward for the answer to our problems, we can begin to take the necessary steps to improve our situation. We must be careful of the thoughts we have, because they lead to the words we speak and the actions we take. We must be careful of the words we speak and the actions we take, because they lead to the realities that we experience.

The law of attraction is at play every single of day of our lives. Pay attention to your next 5 phone calls from associates. Are they calling for money, advice, moral support, or just to say “hi”? Whatever the reason for the calls, you have opened the door for these types of calls. If you are an individual that doesn’t like to hunt, you probably don’t spend a whole lot of time talking about hunting even if you have associates that love to hunt. These associates don’t even engage you in many conversations about hunting because they know you don’t share the same level of enthusiasm that they have about the subject. There is no telling how many times these individuals called someone else instead of you because of the fact that you don’t share this common interest. Again, this is the universal law of attraction at work. So take note of the conversations you are having, the things you are doing, the people you are conversing with and doing things with. Are you doing the things that are leading you where you want to go? If not, stop and redirect your focus and actions!

If Not Now…When?

Each moment that you are not making a conscious effort to improve your situation, you are wasting precious time. Not only can you not afford to waste your time, you cannot afford to let others waste your time. You need to be on a conscious mission to improve your life. We all have God-given talents that are our keys to success. Some of us are very analytical, some of us are great singers, some of us are great painters, some of us are great organizers, some of us are great salespersons, and some of us are great orators. Whatever our talents, we must tap into those talents and let them help us to pave our way to success. We must start today! We must start right away! What are your talents? What are others doing that have your talents? Where do they congregate? How do they monetize their talent? What’s keeping you from doing what they are doing? What help do you need? Find someone to ask. Get the help you need. Take action. It is up to you how you want to deal with your situation. If you are content, continue to do what you are doing. If you are not content, do something about it. Engage the universal law of attraction.

Conclusion

Every action does have a reaction. In the case of the universal law of attraction, it is not an “equal and opposite reaction”, however. According to the law of attraction, if that action is positive a positive reaction usually accompanies it. Even highly positive relationships don’t go sour overnight. There are usually little negative incidents that may start out small and infrequent, but over time attain the ability to completely destroy the relationship. The universal law of attraction is always at play. That is why we must be ever vigilant in our efforts to think the right thoughts, say the right things, and take the right actions.

Live long and prosper!

Very good article about being attracted to someone. Sometimes we need to do some research before meeting the person, to find out what they like and don't like. By doing this we have the inside track on how to handle the situation.

Nan,

Thank you for sharing. I always welcome your comments and insight. We never can be too safe nowadays, especially when it comes to opening ourselves up to others that we may not know very well. It is important that we embody the characteristics that we hope to see in others. Thank you again, my Friend.

ReggieD06,

You didn't beat around the bush with this one!

It is so imperative that we begin to take a conscious inventory of the people closest to us and of the conversations we are having with them, and others, on a regular basis. Just the impact of this consciousness alone can have a major impact on our life situations. It reminds me of the saying...Birds of a feather, flock together.

Thanks for sharing your discernment.

Hi Innerchi Balance,

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your comments. You always add greater depth to the subject matter. Sometimes we don't realize we have attracted the wrong birds until we have a whole flock of them flying with us. In order for our flight not to be a constant struggle, we will need to leave some of these birds on the wire so that we can soar! Thank you again, my Friend!

Hi SistasExpress,

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your insight. You are absolutely right! Every time we do something we should do it as if the ultimate goal will be achieved without doubt. We should always be "preparing for the next step" in life.

The thing about the "law of attraction" is that it is as certain as any other law that governs the universe. Whether we are consciously aware of its existence or not, it is hard at work at all times. We are constantly using it to bring things (and people) to us or push things (and people) away from us. When we become conscious of this fact, we can take a more certain approach in our dealings with others, and indeed, with ourselves.

This law basically states that "like" attracts "like". This is the case right down to our very thoughts. When we are thinking about good things, more good thoughts continue to come to mind. Just think about a special vivid memory that you have of a time that was near and dear to you. Immerse yourself in the thought of the memory. Allow yourself to recall the details of the memory...the sights, the sounds, the smells, the people, etc. Notice how it makes you feel. Notice your outlook on life in general as you reflect on this moment. Imagine the types of positive interactions that you can have with people when you are in this frame of mind.

Now, recall another time in your past. Recall a time when you were unsure of yourself..feeling down and dejected, uncertain of your capabilities, concerned about what others would think about you. Notice how you feel. Imagine yourself interacting with others while you are in this frame of mind. Unfortunately, this is the image of ourselves that many of us take into a job interview. We come up with so many negative "what if" scenarios that we don't have to convince the interviewer that she/he should be concerned that we may not be a "good fit" for the job...we do the convincing for her/him.

To get what we want we must attract it to us. We must be that person that the company wants to hire. We must be that friend that people want to have as a friend. We must be that business partner that business partners long to have as business partners. As we become more like the person we need to be, we will attract more of the people we want to attract. When you attract the right people, the "things" are never far behind.

The key to all of this is sincerity. You can't be insincere in your dealings with others. Your goal cannot be to manipulate others into thinking you are someone that you are not. You must become that person you need to be. When you get the "things", you must do the right thing with those "things". You must continue to be compassionate towards others, continue to be a builder not a destroyer, continue to be problem solver not a problem creator.

So, envision yourself as others see you. Imagine yourself seated behind a table in a vacant room with one other chair on the other side of the table. There is only one door to the room and it is closed. You are waiting for someone to enter into the room desiring to be your pick for a business partner. The person that you are waiting for is you. Now, as the "wanting" you comes into the room what are the unspoken messages that "wanting" you are sending? Are you confidant? Are you self-assured? Are you determined? Are you focused? Do you already know that you have the position before you say a single word? When you do speak, do you confirm every unspoken message that you have conveyed? If you can't "knock your own socks off", you should not expect to knock off those of anyone else.

Thank you again, my Friend. Feel free to stop by anytime and share. Remember to get so good at knocking your own socks off that when people begin to show up to meet you they show up "barefooted".

Take care.
