Life – What It Means to Me
By Reginald Delaney
Introduction
I hope you are not here to find the meaning of life, because I can’t tell you that. I know that this is part of a greater journey. I know every experience we have, every person we encounter, everything we do is part of that journey. These words are not my own. I am a conduit conveying what I am supposed to convey at this very moment. I was heading out to mow the lawn, but I was compelled to stop in my tracks and write this article. The words are flowing effortlessly as if I am merely the physical form of what is needed to share with the universe…the universe of which you are a part. The beauty of this is that I know as I am writing this I am not alone. Even though I sit in this room by myself, I am surrounded by what I will call “Love”. I can feel it coursing through my body, through my mind, through all that is “me”. I am not alone and it is a wonderful feeling. This is what the great leaders must have felt that operated on what seemed to be a superhuman plane. Even when some of those leaders were persecuted and found themselves in deep despair, they knew to look for answers beyond this place we call earth. They knew to look beyond the here and now. They knew to look for answers in a place that is not bound by the concept of time. They knew to look to the place where all infinite knowledge resides. They understood that they were a part of the infinite and as such they would persevere through it all.
Help Others
My life has had challenges as I’m sure yours has. There have been times where I have said, “What did I do to deserve this.” However, what we must realize is that we are all on a journey…every single one of us. My journey may be similar to yours in many ways, but there are intricate details of the journey that you and I will not share. Nevertheless, it does not mean that I can’t help you along the way and that you can’t help me along the way. What it means is that I must bring my experiences to bear to help you when the time comes and you must do the same.
The more people we help, the better our journey.
Safe travels.
