I have spent over 21 years in the petrochemical industry and I have held positions from entry level process engineer to department/unit manager. Over 13 years of my 21 year career were spent in managerial positions. This assists me in my quest to help and guide others. My knowledge and experience affords me the ability to assist many individuals with making good sound decisions when faced with various challenges in life.
More recently, I have started my own insurance agency. I specialize in life and health insurance. In everything I do, I seek to educate people first and then inform them of the products or services that I have to offer, second. Many people tell me that I should just sell on price if that is what the customer requests; however, that goes against my moral grain. Even if I educate an individual and lose the sale, I feel good that I have turned them into a more informed shopper. Since insurance brokers/agents that write for given companies all have the same plans to offer, I know many of my potential sales may go to the last broker with which my prospect spoke. The fact that some of my prospects actually come back to me weeks later, after shopping around with their newfound knowledge, makes me feel good about my approach. They even tell me that they came back because I took the time to educate them.
In addition to my insurance agency, I was invited to participate in the exciting world of network marketing. Not only have I been introduced to an exciting group of positive and forward thinking individuals, but many of them supported my insurance business by purchasing policies from me.
I have learned that if you treat people with love and respect in life, most people will reciprocate that love. For those that don't, wish them well and move on. Our life should be filled with learning, sharing, and loving.
We should all have goals for our lives that will leave a positive imprint on the lives of others. If we act first to help others, all of our dreams will come true!
I wish you much success in all that you do!
